Alice B. Wendle passed away at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL after a short illness on December 4, 2010.
Alice was 91 years old, born in Allenton, GA on April 20, 1919 to the late Charlie Mullis and Bevlah (Benton) Mullis.
Left to cherish her memories are her two loving sons, Richard Wendle and Dan Wendle of Ormond Beach, FL; her sister, Mildred Mullis Campbell of Holly Hill, FL; and many nieces and nephews, Ralph R. Sutton, Dorothy J. Sullens, Hank Lammers, David Lammers, Monica Lammers, Charlotte Campbell, and Gary Campbell.
She is predeceased by her husband, R.J. Wendle, whom was a WWII veteran.
Alice moved to the area back in 1922 when she was 3 years old from Georgia and attended Ormond Elementary School. She enjoyed bowling and won many trophies & awards relative to the sport; she was on the Daytona Beach “Ladies Majorette” Bowling League most of her life. She also enjoyed playing softball in her early years, and over the past decade or so she found herself enjoying TV Land while recovering from various strokes.
