Virginia Smith Mullis age 81 passed away Saturday, June 25, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at McIntyre Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mullis was a native of Wilkinson County but had made her home in Milledgeville. She was a retired supervisor at Central State Hospital. She worked with Rehabilitation of the Women Prisoners. After her retirement she owned and operated Milledgeville Auto Brokers where she was known as “The Honda Lady”. She was preceded in death by her parents I.T. and Adye Aycock Smith, her husband James Randolph Mullis, Sr., her brothers I.T. Smith, Jr., and Warren Smith and a sister Elizabeth Smith. She was a member of Sinclair Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son Randy Mullis (Virginia) of Lizella, her daughter Beth McCoy Leggat (Mike) of Milledgeville, a sister Helen Smith of McIntyre, grandchildren: Joni Dawson (Chad), Megan Frazier (A.J.), Ginny Smith, Second Lt. Tyler Mullis, and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
