Samples, Kenneth Eugene

PELZER-Kenneth Eugene “Gene” Samples, 62, of 18 Square St. passed away Friday, February 19, 2010, at his home.

Born in Clinton, he was a son of the late Jesse Mitchell Samples, Sr. and Verla Mullis Samples. Mr. Samples was a self employed carpenter and a former volunteer with the EMS and was of the Church of God faith.

Surviving are a son, Mickey Samples and wife Darlene of Honea Path; daughter, Missy Wooten and husband, Brad of Simpsonville; brother, Jesse M. Samples, Jr. and wife, Geneva of Ware Shoals; two sisters, Margie Stone and husband, Lewis of Williamston and Betty McElhannon and husband, James of Clinton; and four grandchildren, Brandie Ables, Pamela Samples, Casey Samples and Mickey Ray Samples.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton conducted by Bishop Ralph E. James, Sr. and Rev. Dale Stone.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Restoration Chapel Church of God of Prophecy in Williamston.
