GREENSBORO – Bonnie Mullis Rayle, 78, of Greensboro, died Monday, April 23, 2007, at Moses Cone Hospital following a brief illness.
A funeral service, celebrating her life, will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, with Debra Suess officiating. Entombment Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mrs. Rayle retired from AT&T, formerly Western Electric, after over 32 years of service. A Greensboro native, she attended McIver Elementary School and Greenville High School. She was a very active member of First Friends Meeting; served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, delivering hot meals to shut ins; and also served in the canteen of the American Red Cross for over 12 years.
She was a wise, loving, and caring mother, and was a blessing to all who knew her. Her absence leaves a hole in our hearts and spirit.
Mrs. Rayle is survived by her daughter, Elaine Stevens of Greensboro; her son, Emory Rayle of Greer, S.C.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Kirby Mullis.
The family will gather with their friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
