Obituary for Willie E. Mullis found in THE DUBLIN COURIER HERALD:
Willie E. Mullis, 74 of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Laurens County
died Friday evening in the Veteran Administration Hospital at Lake
City,Fla. after a long illness.
Native of Laurens County, he was the son of the late William H. Mullis
and Anne Victoria Peacock Mullis.  He had made his home in Florida since
1940 and was a retired civilian employee of the U.S. Naval Base at
Jacksonville.  Mr. Mullis was a Baptist.
He is survived by three sons:  R. Kyle Mullis, John E. Mullis, and
Charles E. Mullis of Jacksonville; one daughter, Mrs. L.P. Colvin of
Jacksonville; a number of grandchildren; two brothers, Matthew S. Mullis
of Cadwell, and Hoke M. Mullis of Jacksonville; four sisters, Mrs.
EstelleCooper of Dublin; Mrs. Robert Osteen and Mrs. Ethel Dorsey of
Jacksonville and Mrs. Ellen McCloud of Whitehouse, Fla.  A number of
other relatives also survive.
Burial will be in Reedy Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, and
Adams Funeral House will announce the time and place of the funeral with
other details later.
