Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, Thursday, August 10, 1911, "DEATH’S
HARVESTMullis."
Robert MULLIS was born in (Jan 30,) 1834, died July 31, 1911, aged about seventy-seven years.
In
1850 he was married to Ann MAYS, to which union six children were
bornAlbert MULLIS, of Kansas City; Mrs. Richard WRIGHT, of Lyons, and
John MULLIS and Charley MULLIS, of Koleen, and two died in 1875.
He
was married the second time to Ellen VEST. To this union were born
seven childrenMrs. Mose PRICE, of Bethany, Ill; Elihu MULLIS, of
Kansas City, Mo.; Forest MULLIS and Jewett MULLIS, of Koleen, and Mrs.
Ari FIELDS, of Bloomfield. And two children, Willie and Bernie, dying
in infancy.
He united with the M. E. church in 1883, and has
been a faithful and devoted member and one of the most ardent
supporters of the church.
He was honest in the affairs of life
with his fellow men; sincere in his friendship, pure in his life and
happy in his home, and was kind and accommodating. The writer has know
him for over thirty years and never heard him speak an unkind word to
anyone in his daily life. He reflected in disposition eh Christ whose
spirit he accepted and in whose faith he died.
He was a veteran of the Civil war serving three years as a member of COMPANY E, NINETY-SEVENTH REGIMENT. A FRIEND.

Robert MULLIS and several members of his family are buried at the
Ashcraft Chapel Cemetery, Jackson Township, Greene County, Indiana.
