Reta “Diane”MULLIS , 47, of Loveland, Colo., was called “home” with the Lord Dec. 19, 2009, after a 7 1/2-year battle with cervical cancer. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones at her sister’s home when her battle ended.

She was born July 17, 1962, in Denver, to Reta Mullis (Baker) and Marion Mullis. Diane loved staying home with her daughter, BriAnna, and being a day care provider. She enjoyed photography, scrapbooking, volleyball and the beach. But most of all, she loved watching her daughter grow and play sports.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, BriAnna Mullis, and dog Meesha of Loveland; mom, Reta Baker of Loveland; sister, Pam Thompson and husband Rod Cooley of Loveland; brother, Troy Mullis and wife Cissy, of Loveland; sister, Diane O’Brien of Georgia; sister, Terri Lynn Furgeson and husband Bucky of Georgia; brother, Marion Prentice Mullis Jr. and wife Edith of Georgia; sister, Barb Jensen and husband Rick of Colorado; sister, Judy Dale of Colorado; sister, Jodie Kraus and husband Dana of Colorado; brother, Donald Baker and wife Lori of Colorado; brother, Ronald Baker and wife Wendy of Nebraska. Diane is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, her best friend Jen Seefeldt of Loveland, along with many other good friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, stepfather, uncle, brother and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at First Christian Church in Loveland. BriAnna has requested everyone wear the color teal in memory of her mom’s fight against cervical cancer.

Cremation has been conducted. Reception immediately following the service at Thompson Valley High School.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Diane Mullis memorial fund in care of Kibbey Fishburn Fishburn Funeral Home.
