Ray Daniel Mullis
Mr. Mullis, of Charlotte, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at his residence.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 9 at Evergreen Burial Park in Mint Hill.
A native of Mecklenburg County, Ray was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was self-employed at R.D. Mullis Upholstery and later opened Central Food and Beverage, which he operated until his retirement. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Clyde Mullis, a daughter, Peggy Sue Manus and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Mullis.
Surviving are a daughter, Chichi Keziah and husband, Julius, of Harrisburg; two sons, Steven Mullis of Huntersville and Randy Mullis and wife, Lynn, of Spartanburg, SC; a son-in-law, Monk Manus of Hemby Bridge; a sister, Dot Hagler of Mint Hill; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Lake Norman, 705 Griffith Street, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036.
