 FRUITLAND PARK — Norma West Mullis, 69, died Sunday, May 1, 2011.

 Mrs. Mullis was born in Mabscott, W.Va., and moved to Fruitland Park from Miami in 1962. She helped establish Calvary Baptist Church in Fruitland Park, had worked at WLBE-AM radio station, the Leesburg Chamber of Commerce, taught business classes at Lake Christian School of Calvary Baptist Church, and retired as an LPN after 25 years with several doctors’ offices.

 Survivors include her husband, Pastor Robert H. Mullis; sons Robert “Bob,” Royal Palm Beach, Jeffery “Scott,” Ayden, N.C.; mother, Garnett West, Fruitland Park; sister, Roma Conn, Farmington Hills, Mich.; brother, Jack E. West, Lady Lake; and five grandchildren.

 Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Calvary Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the church, with Pastor Kenneth Dembeck and Pastor Charles Couey officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Fruitland Park.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 3740 Eagles Nest Road, Fruitland Park, FL 34741.

 Arrangements are by Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Leesburg.
