Max C. Mullis, 62, of Marysville, died Sunday morning, Jan. 21,
his residence following an extended battle with cancer.
He was retired from Hagglunds Drives and had formerly been employed
Rockwell International and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
A service technician and consultant, he traveled the world
installing hydraulic systems in manufacturing plants.
His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his six
also enjoyed camping with family, painting cars, riding
trap shooting, golfing and bowling. He formerly held memberships in
Moose Lodge No. 1651, BPOE No. 1130 and the Marysville Eagles.
He was born June 11, 1944, in Oak Ridge, Tenn., to Melvin M. and
M. Bistodeau Mullis. His mother preceded him in death, and his
survives in Niles, Mich.
He also is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, the former
Kunce, to whom he was married June 10, 1972, in Marysville.; his
children, Todd C. (Gina) Mullis of Akron, Kelly L. (Rodney)
of South Vienna, Dr. Amie S. (Keith) Segner of Marysville, Angie R.
(Craig “Chug”) Eger of Milford Center; six grandchildren, Nathan
Devon Kaffenbarger, Klayton and Alyssa Segner and Cadence and Cole
brothers, Ed (Judy) Mullis of South Bend, Ind., Charles (Becky)
of Niles, Mich.; mother-in-law, Wanda R. Kunce of Marysville; a
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathi and Daryl Ingram of
many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Ingram Funeral
where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the
Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Segner, Chug Eger, Rodney Kaffenbarger,
Mullis, Charles Mullis and Chris Ingram. Honorary pallbearers will
Chris Dillon and William Franke.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Cancer
care of the funeral home.
