Maude ‘Tweet’ Hice Mullis, age 91, of Charlotte, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main.
A native of Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late James Alexander and Maude Tucker Hice.
Tweet was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Grover Mullis, and several brothers and sisters.
She was a lifetime member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Alex ‘Noody’ and DeLores Mullis of Charlotte, Joe and Mary Bell Mullis of Catawba, SC; daughter and son-in-law Wanda and Everette Jordan of Charlotte; special cousin, Margaret Rollins of Charlotte; grandchildren, Denise (Vittorio) Masci, Kerry Mullis, Dwayne Mullis, Chell Mullis, Malcomb ‘Mac’ (Jennifer) Jordan, Angie (Alan) Newsome; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nephew, James Lilly.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 9000 Mt. Holly Rd.
Visitation will be from 12-1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
