Mary Lou Mullis Wood -BYRON, GA – Mary Lou Mullis Wood, 86, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 2P.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Clinton Fields officiating.
The family will greet friends on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. -Mrs. Wood was born in Laurens County to the late Ernest J. and Liddie R. Warren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Roy Mullis and Thomas E. Wood, and her two brothers, Tommy H. Warren and James H. Warren. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy on Houston Road and was a Sunday School member. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and loved her church family.
-She is survived by her son, Gene Mullis (B.J.) of Byron; two grandchildren, Jonathan “Mike” Mullis (Lisa) of Jones County, and Rachel L. Mullis of Macon; three great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; sister, Ernestine Lucas of Cochran; step-daughters, Bonnie Hudgins of Byron and Wilma Thomas of Thompson, GA; and adopted grandchild, Serenity “ReRe” Smallwood of Byron, and several nieces and nephews.
