James Edward Mullis, age 79, of Latonia, Kentucky formerly of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Veterans Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. He was born on August 11, 1929 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late Bob Mullis and Laura (Siler) Mullis. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arnold Mullis, Floyd Mullis and Kenneth Mullis and two sisters, Sarah Teague and Pearl Hill. James was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Ann (Logan) Mullis of Latonia, Kentucky; his son, Ernie James Mullis and his wife Trudy of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Brenda Sue Mullis and Linda Rothweiler and her husband Dan, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kenneth James Mullis and his wife Christina, Chrissy Willenbrink and her husband Chris, Lisa Rothweiler and Danny Rothweiler, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Christian James Mullis, Payton Nicole Willenbrink, Emma LouAnn Willenbrink and Kyle Sullivan, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Earl Mullis of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until the funeral hour on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be at 8 P.M. Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Kelly officiating. There will be a Military Graveside Service at 1 P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2009 at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #513 of Mt. Healthy, Ohio.
