– Fredrick Clayton Mullis died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the age of 79. Funeral services will be held at 1P.M. on Saturday, March 28, 2009 in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park. Reverend Paul Creech will officiate. The family will greet friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Friday at Crest Lawn.

-Mr. Mullis was born in Cadwell, Georgia but lived in Macon all of his adult life. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. Mr. Mullis worked as a route salesman for Merita Bread Company and Flowers Baking Company, from whom he retired. He was a member of White Oaks Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Mullis was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Yvonne Collins Mullis.

-He is survived by sons, Mark Mullis of Macon, Clayton and wife Brandy Mullis of Lizella, Ronnie and wife Connie Heath of Macon; sister Betty and husband Dave Holly of Friendswood, Texas; and brother Gary and wife Jan Mullis of Byron.

-In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Heartland Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, Georgia 31210. -Friends may sign a guest register online at www.crestlawnfuneral.com. -Crest Lawn Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Fredrick Mullis
