Evelyn H. Mullis, age 70, of Nottingham, PA passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Saturday, June 12, 2010.
She was the wife of Worth Mullis, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage on February 27th.
She was born in Cochranville, daughter of the late Arthur & Alma Johnson Harvey. In the past, prior to her illness, she was very active in the Porters Grove Baptist Church of Rising Sun, MD. She was attending the Solanco Bible Church of Quarryville. She was a member of the Cochranville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She loved family gatherings and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading.
Surviving besides her husband are 7 children: Janet Flahart wife of Frank Owens of Boone, NC, Kathy wife of Ernest Tilley of Round Lake, IL, JR husband of Lisa Gill Mullis of Toughkenamon, PA, Wilma wife of Walter Clark, Jr. of Kirkwood and granddaughter Missie Clark, Robin Ednalino of Bellingham, WA, Ralph husband of Elvira Reyes Mullis of Toughkenamon, PA, Arthur husband of Michele Lapham Mullis of Willow Street; 22 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; 2 siblings: James husband of Carol Stoltzfus Harvey of Cochranville, Rhonda wife of Dave Hardesty of Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by a son, Rocky Lee Mullis, and a sister, Bobby Jean Pollard.
Funeral service will take place from the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Wednesday, June 16th, at 11 AM with Pastor Jerry Carr officiating. Interment will be in the Manor Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service.
