Mullis, Douglas Wade

Douglas Wade MULLIS Doug’s home ground was the Skagit Valley.

There he made his first appearance and spent his childhood. After many years of varied careers, travel, dedication to church, creative artistry, he quietly and unexpectedly left his favorite place in the world, Barnacle Point, San Juan Island on July 28, for charted waters.

His family includes his wife, Sandy and her daughters, Melissa (Bryan) Ripka and Holly Dion, his brother Jerry (Cindy) Mullis, nieces Traci (Kris) Yates, Kristi (Edwin) Momeny, and grandniece, Ella Rose Momeny, and dear cousins.

Though saddened and surprised that he didn’t tell them about his new adventure, they are at peace knowing that his Captain’s hand is on the tiller.

A memorial service for Doug will be held at 2:00p.m. on the beautiful grounds of Cottage Creek Inn, Redmond, Washington, on September 25th, www.cottagecreekinn.com.
