Biography
Cecil Clyde Mullis, age 88, of Shasta Lane, SW, Lenoir, died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. He was born January 31, 1923 in Ashe County to the late Steve and Myrtle Roark Mullis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Pauline Mullis; a son, Charles Ronnie Mullis; five brothers; and five sisters.
Mr. Mullis was retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries and was a member of Lenoir Seventh Adventist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Anita M. Pritchard and husband Terry of Lenoir; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Judy Mullis; three grandchildren, Charles Pritchard of New Mexico, Todd Mullis of Charlotte and Adam Mullis of Lenoir.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Clifton Harmon.
