Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

When GOD calls our loved ones home,
HE leaves a gift of memories in exchange.
My heart aches for you all.
I’m sorry for your loss. May GOD’s
Love make your grief bearable.
Your Texas Cousin.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Mama,
I love you so much. You have always been there for me and right now I feel so lost. I’ve always had you to talk to and you aren’t going to be there any more for our 8 am daily talks. I’ve always told you that anyone could be a mother, but it takes someone really special to be called ‘Mama’ and I’m so proud to be able to call you mine….

My husband (James T.(Tommy) Sanders) was Betty’s cousin. He told me that the times spent with Uncle Vic and Aunt Doris and children were some of the happiest times of his growing up years. I am so saddened that this happened. She is safe in the arms of our Lord now. My prayer is that you all will feel God’s comfort and peace in the days ahead.
