– BARBARA ROGERS MULLIS, age 46, of Plainfield, died Sunday, October 5, 2008. -Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, Eastman.
-Barbara, born in Dodge County, was a member of Lovely Grove Baptist Church, a homemaker, daughter of the late Ruby Burch Breedlove and was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Jane Sheppard. -Survivors: husband, Mandel Mullis; daughters, Amanda Moore and Mara Mullis; sons, Joshua Mullis, Billy Sheppard and Ricky Sheppard; father, Coley J. Rogers (Sherry); two grandchildren, Marlie Moore & Kamden Graham; sisters, Kathy Johnson (Mike), Billy Jo Hulett, Ruby Jo Gibson (Olin), April Godsey and Stephanie Godsey (Fred); brothers, James Rogers and Chan Rogers (Candice); parents-in-law, Nita and Doyce Mullis.
-The family may be contacted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Doyce Mullis, 311 Coleman Rd., Plainfield, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 7, 2008. -Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman is serving the Mullis Family.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Barbara’s death. We were classmates in middle school, rode the same bus, lived in the same neighborhood. She was a lovely girl all around, and I enjoyed being friends with her. Again, my deepest sympathies.
