Mary Lamb Mullis, age 93, of Dublin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Serenity Hospice after an extended illness.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Ken Rogers will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jared Smith, Michael Harvill, Bryan Harvill, Cliff Lowery, Chase Lowery and Kyle Lowery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mullis was born in Laurens County on October 24, 1923 to the late Newton B. and Sally Stephens Lamb. For the majority of her life she lived in the Cadwell, GA community. She retired from Stuckey’s Candy Co. after 33 years. Mrs. Mullis was also a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clyde Mullis. A member of a large family, Mrs. Mullis was also preceded in death by brothers, Albert Lamb, Jack Lamb, Thomas Lamb, Herbert Lamb, Curtis Lamb, and George Lamb; sisters, Alice Lamb Knight, Bell Lamb Faulk and Mattie Lamb Brown and grandson, Jeff Jeffries.
Survivors include her daughters, Mercedes Haralson (Richard), of Dublin, GA and Sheirlyn Cox (Dave), of Dacula, GA; sons, Herb Mullis, of Dublin and Roger Mullis, of Eastman; grandchildren, Donna Harvill (Joe), Rhonda Lowery (Chuck), Kristi Stone (Greg), Aimee Lowery (Brad), Brett Mullis (Misty), Ellen Brown (Richie), Jodi Warren (Jason), T.J. Mullis, Casey Mullis, Carol Haralson, Kathy Thompson, and Christine Murphy; 37 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; brother, Eugene B. Lamb and several nieces and nephews.
