Marie Mullis, 75, passed away June 11, 2015, at St Mary’s Hospital. She was born Jan. 17, 1940, to Pete and Clara Kunkler.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Don Mullis; her sister, Marietta Unger; a son, Tim Mullis; her granddaughter, Cidney Mullis (Casey Clark); twin great-grandchildren, Mckinlee Marie and Noah Parker Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Al (Butch) Ubelhor and a sister-in-law, June Lyons.
Anyone who knew Marie knew her heart was made of gold. She truly made the world a better place. She was the kind of person who would take the shirt off her back and give it to a stranger.
She loved spoiling her husband, son, grandchildren and animals. In her younger years, she was known for her arts and crafts and working outside in her garden and flowerbeds. Later in life, health prevented her from doing as much. She dearly loved her cats her whole life, all the way up until her death. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services were Sunday, June 14, at Koehler Funeral Home, Perigo Chapel, in Chandler.
