Margene Mullis

Margene Mullis passed away on December 5, 2015 at her home in Grass Valley. She was 72.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary. Reception will immediately follow.

Margene was born January 16, 1943 in Oakland, California to Marcella Carson and Evan ‘Eugene’ Williams. She graduated from Nevada Union High School and Sierra College in Rocklin with a degree in business administration. Margene worked at the Nevada County Clerk-Recorders office, Bergman and Sons Mortuary and the Nevada City Hospice Gift and Thrift.

She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband, Bill, in their fifth wheel. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed needlework, refinishing furniture and various other crafts. Margene loved antiquing and spending time with her family and friends.

Margene is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; loving daughter, Vicki; sister, Jeanna; son-in-law, Ken and grandsons, Jacob and Joshua.

She was preceded in death by her son, David and parents, Eugene and Marcella.

Margene will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the care of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
