Louis Loyce Mullis

Louis Loyce “Short Dog” Mullis, 42 of Screven, Georgia died Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Evansville, Indiana after a short illness. The Wayne County, Georgia native was a member of O’Quinn Baptist Church and and avid Union Industrial Electrician with Local Union #IBEW508 out of Savannah, Georgia. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and playing with children. He was predeceased by his parents, Loyce Lyndol Mullis and Deborah Faye Bennett Mullis.

Survivors are a brother, Michael Mullis of Screven, Georgia; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Mullis officiating. Interment will be in O’Quinn Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy “Canepole” Beckham, Carl Sawyer, Todd King, Kevin Cowart, Ken Cowart and Mike Beard. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Local Union IBEW508 of Savannah, Georgia.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to service at the chapel.
