Mr. Jimmy “Rick” Mullis, age 74, of Chauncey died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Serenity Hospice Care in Dublin.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Al Daniell and Rev. Jack Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Sugar Creek Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Mullis was born November 12, 1941 in Laurens County to the late Emma Kirkley and Alfred R. Mullis. He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and assistant teacher for the Men’s Sunday School Class and retired from Stevenson Builders Supply and the Department of Corrections.
Mr. Mullis is survived by his wife, Rossie Moore Mullis; Children, Gretchen Horne (Dennis), Lynn Mullis, Steve Pruett (Angie), and Wade Mullis (Stephanie); siblings, Donald Mullis and Linda Mullis Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Guy W. Mullis.
Those serving as pallbearers are Mike Belflower, Chris Coody, Scotty Whitton, Butch Kirkley, David Moore, Jeffrey Moore, David Whitton, Donald Wilson, Eddie Attaway, and Darrell Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will members of the Sweet Home Baptist Men’s Sunday School Class.
