Gladys Haigler Mullis, 85, of 421 Copeland Park, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at her home. She was born in Union County, daughter of the late William Otis and Dora Helms Haigler.
She was the wife of the late Charles Buren Mullis. She was born and raised in Marshville and moved to Charlotte as a young woman and to the Mount Holly area in 1965.She owned and maintained rental property.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Randall and husband, Mike, of Iron Station and Kimberly Olmo and her husband, James, of Buford, Ga.; two sons, Eddie Freeman and wife, PJ, of Sherrill’s Ford and Charles Eric Mullis (her Sonny Boy) of Buford, Ga.; three sisters, Ruby Wingate, of Charlotte, Jessie Dinkins, of Salisbury and Betty Bruce, of Charlotte; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mullis will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at The Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
