The death occurred at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, of Daisy Dawson of Bedeque, age 83 years, wife of the late Sydney Dawson.
Born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, on Aug. 13, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Frederick George Mullis and the late Mary Ann Rogers. Mother of Annie Marie (Donnie) Smith, Bedeque; Charles of Charlottetown; Joy (Robert) McKenna, Newton; and Della (Doug) Ferguson, Crapaud. Also survived by son-in-law, Vernon MacDonald, Bedeque; and daughter-in-law, Susan Dawson, Charlottetown; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Sydney Dawson, she is predeceased by a daughter, Lyn.
Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset St., Kinkora, with visiting hours Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at North Tryon Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. Interment will be held later in the church cemetery.
Donations may be made in memory of Daisy to the AMS of Mount Tryon Presbyterian Church or the North Tryon Presbyterian Building Fund.
