FORT MILL — Mrs. Judy Lines Cox, 81, of Fort Mill, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at First Baptist Church Chapel in Fort Mill, with the Revs. Jeff Bedwell and Benny Wade officiating.
Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Cox was a daughter of the late Emery Earl Lines and Inez Bowman McIntire Lines. She graduated from Central High School in Charlotte. Mrs. Cox was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was active in the W.M.U. She enjoyed square dancing, reading, sewing, and ceramics. She was the widow of Fleet Hinson Cox, whom she was married to for 62 years.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Roberta Cox of Rock Hill; her brother, John Lines of Franklin, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Shannon McSheehan, Eric Mullis, Charles Cox, David Cox, Bill Cox and Crystal Riggs. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Candy Chadwick and Kathy McMaster; and a brother, Earl Lines Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today, Jan. 8, 2008, in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Fort Mill. Condolences may be sent to the family at 1508 Hathaway Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
