GASTONIA: Gladys Mae Mullis Boatright, 91, died at her daughter’s home in Gastonia.
She was a native of Waxhaw, born April 2, 1911 in Union County, daughter of the late James Lex and Lillian Cleone Yarbrough Mullis.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. today, Union Methodist Church

INTERMENT: Church cemetery

Most of her working life she was a seamstress for a garment cleaners.

Baucom of Marshville; one son, Joe Frank Boatright of Gastonia; a sister, Bleeka Boatright; and a brother, James Albert Mullis, both of Waxhaw; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Husband, William Franklin Boatright, March 8, 1947; infant daughter, Blanch Faye Boatright; and a brother, Jay Lex Mullis
