Betty Jean Cox Mullis, age 73 of Jonesville passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Elkin Healthcare surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Mullis was born in Stokes County on November 27, 1939 to the late Lester and Ida Wilmoth Cox. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mullis; brothers, Jack Cox, Jay Cox, Ted Cox, Harold Cox; and an infant sister.
Mrs. Mullis is survived by her daughters, Tammie Shore and husband Joey of Hamptonville, Robin Yarboro and husband Jerry Junior Yarboro; sisters, Maxine Glover and husband Carl of Lexington, Dovie Jenkins and husband Bud of Hamptonville; grandchildren, Zack Yarboro and wife Melanie, Katelin Yarboro, Kelsey Shore; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Maple Springs Baptist Church led by Brother Curtis Ponder and Rev. John Attaway. Burial will follow the service at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00p.m. prior to the service at Maple Springs Baptist Church.
