Obituary:
Stacey Lynn Mullis, 52, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Laurels of Salisbury. Stacey was born November 14, 1960 in Alexander County to the Grady Cole Mullis and Lucille Baity. He was in the U.S. Air Force and he got promoted to Sargent in 1984; he worked from Dyn Corp; and in later years worked for G&S Metal Heating and Air; and he coached Rowan County youth football for many years.
Survivors include his father, Grady Cole and his step-mother, Alda, and his mother, Lucille Baity; his three children, Brandon Cole Mullis of San Antonio, TX, Desiree Mullis of San Antonio, TX and Tyler Mullis of Salisbury, NC; three grandchildren, Kaylynn Hernandez, Aerilynn Nancy Lopez, and Jaxson Donavon Mullis; and two brothers, Todd Mullis of China Grove, and Mike Mullis of Kannapolis, NC.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at River of Life FWC at 1945 Old Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Kannapolis with Pastor Brian Rabon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Vera Mullis, age 82, of Eastman died Saturday, January 7, 2012.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 7 til 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mullis, daughter of the late Ulyss and Pearl Jones, is survived by daughters, Marquet Batchelor (Thomas), Glenda Herron; sons, James Ronnie Mullis (Glenda), Brian Mullis (Christine); brothers, Clifton Jones (Betty Jean), Cary Jones (Lee); sisters, Gwynelle Lowery, Vivian Hazouri; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by husband, James H. Mullis.

In addition to her parents, Lynne was also preceded in death by her husbands, Billy W. Mullis and Danny W. Johnson.

Ms. Mullis was born June 20, 1961 in Union County, daughter of the late David D. and Arbutus Keziah Mullis.

Visitation will be 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 23, 2011 at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

Survivors include two brothers: Danny and wife Joanie Mullis of Fort Mill S.C., Alan Medlin of Lancaster, S.C., three sisters: Linda and husband Teddy Deese of Monroe N.C., Patricia Morrison of Lancaster S.C. and Nancy Garris of Monroe N.C. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

Grace McLean Smith of Oakboro, NC passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at Carolinas Medical-Charlotte.

Her visitation will be Thursday, Sept 3, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.at Red Cross Baptist Church.

Funeral service wil follow at 11 a.m. at Red Cross Baptist and burial in the church cemetery.

She was a member of Red Cross Baptist Church for over fifty years and retired from Stanly Knitting Store.

She is survived by sons, Terry Dale Smith and Bob Stephen Smith; Grandchildren, April Drye and Kodi Smith; sister, Carolyn Smith and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Clayton Smith deceased Feb 11, 1993, brothers, Benny Mullis, Earl T. Mullis, John Junior Mullis, sisters, Bertha M. Thomas Ross, Edith M. Mullis, Christine M. Clontz, Evelyn Pinion, Helen Maness.
