Margaret Jones Mullis, 64, of 604 Worsham Street, died Monday June 14, 2010 at Martinsville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Danville on May 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Jones and Estelle Lunsford Jones. She was married to Donald I. Mullis who survives her of the home. She had lived most of her life in the Danville area where she had worked as a waitress. She had been in declining health for several years and in the hospital for two days. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Raymond DeBaere and Charles DeBaere of Danville, Tony DeBaere of Dry Fork, and one daughter, Tammy Francis of New York. She is also survived by one brother, Charles Jones of Danville.

Other survivors include 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, James Lee DeBaere and Donald Shane Mullis.

Graveside services for Mrs. Mullis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Highland Burial Park with the Rev. Lawrence Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel.
