Arrest in 2007 Concord Murder

More than a year after he was murdered, two women have been arrested in connection with the death of Lee Bruner.

Bruner, 59, was killed in his home on Lincoln Street on February 10, 2007. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

Police have now charged Honey Watson, 27 and Elizabeth Mullis, 31 with first degree murder.

Watson was tracked down in San Jose, California. She was scheduled to have an extradition hearing on Wednesday. Mullis is already being held by the North Carolina State Department of Corrections for obtaining property, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of schedule II controlled substance.

Investigators are not currently releasing any other details of the murder. Watson and Mullis are also charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
